Olga Kucherina, PsyD-I
Olga Kucherina (she/her/hers) is an advanced clinical extern with Dwellness who believes in creating a safe, compassionate, and collaborative environment where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. Having immigrated from Ukraine at a young age and growing up in Brooklyn, NY, Olga grew up navigating the balance between honoring her cultural identity and finding her own voice. Olga felt a deep calling toward psychology, inspired by her early fascination with understanding the human mind and by witnessing firsthand the stigma surrounding mental health in her own community.
Olga’s personal and professional journey has shaped her passion for supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they face life’s challenges. She has worked in a psychology practice where she co-led social skills groups for kids, led community outreach initiatives, and built meaningful relationships with families seeking support. She has also volunteered in hospitals, contributed to research on anxiety disorders and race-related coping, and participated in community initiatives aimed at reducing mental health stigma. These experiences deepened her belief that healing requires both evidence-based care and deep cultural humility.
Currently pursuing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at LIU Brooklyn, Olga brings an integrative, trauma-informed approach to her clinical work, one that combines psychodynamic and evidence-based approaches with creativity, empathy, and collaboration. She is especially passionate about helping young people break cycles of intergenerational trauma, build resilience, and embrace their strengths. Olga is honored to walk alongside her clients and their families, holding space for their stories while supporting them in creating lives rooted in healing, hope, and growth.
