Anna Pandolfi, MSW-I
Anna Pandolfi (she/her) is an advanced clinical internee with Dwellness who is dedicated to walking alongside clients as they navigate life challenges and their personal histories. She approaches therapy with deep curiosity and compassion, viewing it as a valuable opportunity to pause in an often busy and overwhelming world and to reconnect with one’s inner voice. Anna believes in each person’s innate capacity for healing and growth, and she strives to create a space where clients feel seen and empowered to take meaningful steps toward change. With a particular interest in trauma-informed work, Anna is dedicated to helping clients build awareness and resilience around defining traumatic experiences. She works collaboratively with clients to help them rediscover their sense of self, nurture self-compassion, and gently ease patterns of intergenerational pain.
Anna approaches therapy from a strength-based and relational perspective, drawing on psychodynamic and holistic approaches, as well as evidenced based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT) to guide her work. She can also integrate social-emotional learning tools and creative practices, such as art therapy techniques, to help clients connect with their emotions and foster healing through means other than words and expression.
Anna is completing her Master of Social Work at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work and holds a joint MA (Honours) in Psychology & International Relations from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. She has experience providing counseling and crisis intervention for children and adolescents in a school setting and previously worked as a lead clinical research coordinator at the Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai, where she focused on substance use and mental health research.
Growing up in a first-generation household–bilingual in English and Italian and proficient in Spanish–Anna deeply values multicultural perspectives and welcomes clients from all backgrounds and identities. She is passionate about supporting children, young adults, and families as they navigate identity development and build resilience in the face of evolving societal norms as well as cultural, spiritual, and religious transition. Anna is based in the East Village and outside of work and school, she enjoys hot yoga, hiking, traveling, cooking, and going to live music concerts.
